THE WATERWAYS MARINA, AVENTURA.

In the privately owned Waterways Marina in Aventura, North Miami, Florida there are 10 Yacht slips presently available for purchase on a fee simple/freehold basis, suitable for vessels of deep draft up to 90ft in length.

Waterfront real estate is in ever decreasing supply for yachts, just as it is for the residential market. Restrictions by the Corps of Engineers, Florida State, the Department of Environmental Regulation and local interest groups aim to keep it that way, while Public marinas are disappearing at the rate of 6 % per year as condominiums take their place. The location of safe, decent dock space is an ongoing problem for owners of the bigger yachts - 80 ft and above.
Homes are now being purchased solely on the criteria of their available dockage and the residence often leased out. Condominium owners, however, if they wish to own a substantial yacht and many do, are obliged to rent a dock at ever increasing expense. To be able to purchase a dock outright is extremely rare, hence the exceptional situation at the Waterways Marina.
